For years I have been dreaming about having a barn and having my own Occasional Sale. Well, I don't have a barn but have decided to jump in and start with a sale in my home! Here is the information:
Rebecca,
AKA The Pumpkin Lady, is a horticulturalist and will have some really
cool pumpkins and gourds for sale. Heidi will have her awesome stained

Christmas 2011 Part II
This year we decided to go with a real tree and decked it out in ornaments that are from my childhood and the collection of ornaments we have started for the kids. There is even an ornament on there that my mom made for her and my dad's first Christmas in 1975, she made it out of salt dough and I am amazed that it has lasted so long!! I was very excited about having a real tree this year, when I was young we lived in Rapid City, SD and would drive into the Black Hills and cut down our own tree. So, having the smell of a real tree in the house has brought back some wonderful memories.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Christmas 2011 Part I
Growing up Christmas decorations were saved for the day after Thanksgiving, and then we went to town listening to Christmas music and decorating. My mom had/has the most amazing pieces that she has collected, been gifted or made over the years. Through my parents recent moves my brother, sister and I have been given some of the cherished pieces, so what you see in these pictures is my love of decorating inspired by this beautiful Season and the tradition that my mom started.
Part I is the outside of the house and main level of my house. I had a brunch for some really great girlfriends this past Saturday so I had the tables done up and got some photos snapped before they arrived, unfortunately the battery died before I could get any photos of the food and the little girls' table. I've given up on stressing out about such things. There were things I had planned for the brunch that didn't happen, there were a few dirty dishes in the sink but it didn't stop us from having a great time. I am learning that letting go of my perfectionism makes life so much more fun!

The Santa on the right is one of the cherished pieces that mom had, our sweet neighbor gave it to us.
Simple additions make the regular decorations look more festive.
I love Mercury glass and made the silver ones from a tutorial I found on Pinterest.

I Heart Target!
It was a Target day today, we had to buy snacks for E's Kindergarten class and get some socks for the kids (which begs the question; WHY do the kids never have enough socks?). Anyway, B was very excited about his new socks and was convinced that the bright white ones were glow-in-the-dark. There was no convincing him that they weren't~ he had to check it out himself and go downstairs in the dark. He was okay with it and we made a game of matching the socks.
I am now the owner of a bright shiny Target card, did you know that you get 5% back EVERY time you use your Red Card? It makes up for the penny difference in prices between Walmart and Target. I would much rather shop at Target, Walmart just makes me SO crabby! I love that I can sign up for a portion to go to my kids' school and if you want you can even get it as a debit card right from your checking account!

Prairie Chick Sale
Dawn Fellows of Storehouse Antiques was our neighbor at the Junk Bonanza. I loved her stuff so much I could have taken the whole booth home with me! Seriously, she had a table there that I can't stop thinking about how perfect it would have been in my studio!
Dawn is doing a sale and asked if she could sell some of my stuff in her booth. How sweet is she? So, here is the flier with more info:
Check it out and check out Dawn's blog to follow her on her junkin adventures!! http://www.storehouseantiques.blogspot.com/Check it out and check out Dawn's blog to follow her on her junkin adventures!! http://www.storehouseantiques.blogspot.com/

They think we're just fishin'
Have you heard the song by Trace Adkins? It really speaks to me as a mom and a daughter of an avid fisherman. Some of my favorite moments with my dad were fishing as a child and now I love to see the love my kids have going fishing with PopPops or with us. Last week they had an early dismissal so we went canoeing and fishing. Here are the pics:

Main Street Market
Getting ready for the Main Street Market at JB Knacker in Gilbert this Saturday, August 27th. I am trying my hand at reviving some old junk and furniture to sell. I have experience in doing this for myself and our home but have never sold anything so I am a little nervous, excited and interested to see how it all goes
over. Here are some pictures for a sneak peak:| Seat Cover Option A |
Seat Cover Option B
I tried editing these photos five times and kept accidentally deleting them so sorry for the rough cuts! ;)
Which seat cover will I pick? You'll have to be there Saturday to find out!!!
