Indianola, IA show with Jeff Tadsen

I love creating my jewelry, art, and re purposed items, of course; but what I love the most is the wonderful friendships I've created since starting my business! One of the most talented friends I've met is Jeff Tadsen, an art teacher in Indianola, IA. We are both getting ready for a show that we do together in Indianola, IA. Here is what I copied from Jeff's latest email to his followers:

Hello everyone,

Show week has arrived! I'm painting as fast as I can to make sure you all have lots of fun things to select.

As a reminder, since my new home isn't finished yet, the show is being held at Welcome Home, a fun store on the east side of the Indianola downtown square.

The address is:
106 N Howard St, Indianola, IA 50125

Show Hours:
Friday, November 22: 4-8
Saturday, November 23: 9-5
Sunday, November 24: 11-3

Also, Mama Peacock will be attending the show with her wares.

I've continued posting pictures to my blog and Facebook page. I'd invite everyone to take a look and get a preview of the fun things available. :)

Happy Holidays, and looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
Jeff

Here are some photos of Jeff's fabulous work. His talent is amazing, photos do not do his work justice!! Stop out and see us this weekend and see for yourself!!

Fall Open House

For years I have been dreaming about having a barn and having my own Occasional Sale. Well, I don't have a barn but have decided to jump in and start with a sale in my home! Here is the information:

Rebecca, AKA The Pumpkin Lady, is a horticulturalist and will have some really cool pumpkins and gourds for sale. Heidi will have her awesome stained glass art, ornaments and whimsical pieces available. It really will be a sale for everyone and a great stop to kick off your holiday shopping! I hope you can make it!!!

Summer Time

Although it doesn't feel like it is Summer in South Dakota yet, it really is! I am busy getting ready for Summer shows. These flower windows are my new favorite creation:

I have so many more ideas that I hope to give life to this Summer; somewhere in between the swimming lessons, tutoring sessions, appointments and daily life with my kids!! Stay tuned.....

....hopefully it won't be another SEVEN months before I tune in here again!! ;-) Sheesh!!!

Happenings

So many things happening around here. We moved to South Dakota to be closer to family and for my husband's job. It's been great to have so much time with family and have HELP!!!

Here are some photos from the last month:

B turned 4!!!

Everywhere that B went, his balloons went!

True love, the hubs up on a very high ladder hanging stuff for me!

Looks great honey!!

This is our staircase going downstairs. Don't worry the hubs made sure the gate is secure so it won't fall on your head! :)

This is pretty much all I've been working on the last two weeks. Cleaning and staining and painting my parent's old table and chair set. It's looking pretty good. I'll post after pics soon!

The kids have been keeping busy with crazy random play that kids are so great at!

This is how/where I found B when he was supposed to be in bed sleeping. Little stinker snuck downstairs to watch TV.

The house: I think it needs a white front door~what do you think?

This back patio nees so much work but we have lots of ideas thanks to Pinterest!!

Love my flower planter from Little Prairie Girl!!

Three car garage, plenty of room for JUNK!!!! :)

Some Assembly Required

Reiman Gardens are the beautiful gardens on the Iowa State University campus here in Ames, IA. We have always loved visiting the gardens and the butterfly house. The current theme is Some Assembly Required and involves thousands of legos!!! The sculptures are AMAZING!!! The photos don't do them justice, if you are in the area between now and October you must check them out in person!! If not, or until then, enjoy the photos we took on a recent family outing!

Highlights

I had a fabulous weekend! The show at Jeff's was awesome with so many great customers and beautiful weather it was hard not to be happy!

I don't have many photos of the beautiful things from Jeff's sale, you'll have to check out his blog for those photos. His stuff flew out of his house!!! He has a great following and, like me, most are addicted to his art!! :)

I do have some photos of his house that I want to share because he is not only a talented artist but an amazing decorator!!

This great table runner Jeff bought at The Junk Jubilee.

Loved this over a window!

An industrial cart as a side table~so cool and functional!!

I am SO hanging a branch like this in our new house!!

I wanted to steal this table!

I love how he's just casually arranged these things in a basket under the table. Never underestimate how great a bunch of junk can look when displayed nicely.

One of his beautiful window frames, it sold right after I snapped this shot!
Hope you had a great weekend as well! Jeff and I are teaming up again in November for his next home show, will keep you posted on here and on Facebook!
