I am a busy little elf, getting ready for the Holiday Open House at The Left Bank Studio in Gilbert. Join us for a great day filled with activities, yummy nibbles and drinks to warm you body and soul. Here is the information from our poster:

Holiday Open House at The Left Bank Studio
Main Street Gilbert, IA (4 miles North of Ames)
Saturday December 4th 9am-5pm

Get ready, get set… for Christmas at The Left Bank Studio. You will find gifts for yourself, gifts to give, and Christmas décor throughout the studio that are sure to be one-of-a-kind and beautifully handcrafted. The back room has been transformed into a gift shop-like space with ever-changing handmade art by local artisans. Nibble on quiche, homemade baked goods, fruit, and sip on Mimosas and gourmet hot chocolate while you shop. When you are finished let us artistically wrap your gifts for you.


Next door at JB Knacker they will be having goodies, snowman building contests (weather permitting of course!) and the Gilbert Historical Society will be present selling vintage Gilbert school slates.

Down the street at The Open Flame enjoy Wine and Beer tasting with appetizers from 2:30-4:30.

The old-fashioned, small town Christmas celebration will conclude with carols and tree lighting at 5:15 and Santa will arrive at 5:30.


There will be a drawing for a workshop for up to five people presented by both The Left Bank Studio and JB Knacker and a $20 gift certificate to the Open Flame!


Also, I will be at the Christmas Market on Sunday December 5th at Prairie Moon Winery in Ames from 11-6. Hope to see you at one or both places!!!
